We compiled five of the best games released this year.

'Star Wars: Battlefront'

The "Star Wars: Battlefront" reboot from DICE was described by IGN as "playful and imaginative" and "driven by a sense of adventure and fun above all else." There are flawless details incorporated in the game, which looks, feels, and sounds like the original trilogy. The Supremacy, Walker Assault, and Drop Zone modes in "Star Wars: Battlefront" is also notable.

The game was released on Nov. 17, 2015, Tech Radar wrote.

'Fallout: 4'

Bethesda Game Studios' "Fallout: 4" replaces its predecessor's post-nuclear wasteland to Boston 200 years after the nuclear war, GameSpot reported. The war made life in Boston more difficult; all citizens want to survive its repercussions but no one wants to team up together.

GameSpot wrote that "Fallout: 4" is "an engrossing game that lures you in with mystery and the promise of adventure." It also uses its dark world as the setting of exciting and spellbinding battle stories.

"Fallout: 4" was launched on Nov. 10, 2015.

'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'

CD Projekt RED's "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is a fantasy role-playing game that transports players to lush virtual worlds. According to GameSpot, the game displays excellent combat mechanics, exploration, creature design, and character progression.

Just like the game's protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, players will deal with the agony of mere existence in surprising and unscripted ways, GameSpot wrote. The focal point of the story makes you look for Ciri, your ward and daughter figure, as well as battling with an otherworldly force known as the wild hunt.

The game first rolled out on May 18, 2015.

'Bloodborne: The Old Hunters'

"Bloodborne: Old Hunters," developed by From Software, was released on Nov. 24 and takes place in a capsule-world called the Hunter's Nightmare, a reproduction of the world of "Bloodborne" that's even more forgotten and bleak. It's a place where hunters that surrendered to the thirst of the hunt go eventually, IGN wrote.

The Hunter's Nightmare consists of three distinct, sprawling, unsettling environments that are as "visually and thematically unique and fully realized as any area" in the original game, the news outlet added.

'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain'

Hideo Kojima's "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," the first open-world of the series released on Sep. 1, 2015, follows the story of series protagonist, Big Boss (a.k.a. Snake).

The installment's November 2015 update made several changes to PF Ratings, gear development, and FOB invasions, among many others, GameSpot reported. The latest update also has new cat-themed headgear, including the Ricky Cat Hat for 300 MB Coins.
