Sony is in the habit of releasing free game titles for PlayStation Plus subscribers towards the end of each month. This week, the company confirmed the PlayStation Plus free games for December 2015
PlayStation Plus members are getting Arrowhead Game Studios' "Gauntlet: Slayer Edition" on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Blog reported. The action-packed RPG plunges gamers into dungeons and battle hordes of enemies. Crawl through the catacombs for gold and come across great weapons to acquire both fortune and fame.
PlayStation 4 owners will also have "King's Quest - Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember" for free, the news outlet further reported. The game is part of a collection of five different chapter releases, each highlighting an untold tale in Graham's past.
Each installment will feature an aging King Graham reflecting on his adventurous life with his granddaughter, Gwendolyn, Metacritic wrote. Players will be put in the king's past to influence the decisions and events first-hand that helped shaped the kingdom. An astonishing journey across the world of Daventry awaits gamers.
In addition, PlayStation Plus members with a PlayStation 3 will get "SSX" and "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" for free, PlayStation Blog added. PlayStation Vita members, on the other hand, will have "Freedom Wars" and "Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken" at no cost during the month of December.
All six of these titles will be available for free this coming Tuesday, Dec. 1, according to a report from IGN. November's free PlayStation Plus games include "Mass Effect 2," "Beyond Good and Evil," the second season of Telltale's "The Walking Dead," "Invizimals," "Dragon Fin Soup," and "Magicka 2," a separate report from the news outlet listed.
NewEgg Slaps Discount on PlayStation Plus Prior to Black Friday
This week, NewEgg's eBay outlet store announced that it is offering a $10 discount to PlayStation Plus 12-Month membership card, making it $39.99 upon purchase from a $50 original price, Geek Snack reported earlier this week. The discount is a limited time and limited quantity offer.
Free Xbox Live Gold Games for December 2015
Just like PlayStation Plus subscribers, Xbox Live Gold members will also be getting game titles for free during the entire month of December.
Xbox One members are getting "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing" at no cost from Dec. 16 to Jan 15, ComingSoon.net wrote. Those who have Xbox 360 (with Xbox One Backward Compatibility) will be able to download "Castlestorm" for free Dec. 1 to Dec. 15, while "Sacred 3" and "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" are free from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31.
