Most people are eagerly looking forward to the long weekend ahead, because after the traditional Thanksgiving family dinner, Black Friday is here and it means great prices to get holiday shopping started.
And then there are others who would prefer staying in bed and planning a relaxing vacation somewhere than getting into a "Confessions of a Shopaholic" scenario over boots and gadgets. Here are great vacation deals for you:
- RetailMeNot.com shows a slew of exclusive deals via its site or app for hotel prices. As Fox News noted, some of the exclusive deals include the following: Hotels.com -- "Up to 30% Off Sale + Extra 10% Off" *11/30-12/6

MGM - 20% off, plus $25 food & beverage credit at all Vegas properties, starting early11/25-11/30. - Go get your Euro Trip itinerary ready, as RailEurope.com offers several deals during its promotion, starting with 30 percent off Eurostar Standard Premier train tickets, $100 off bookings on certain Eurail Passes, and an additional $30 for a $300 Rail Europe gift card. Reservations must be done between November 27 and December 4 via their website, though. Their promo code: EURAILCYBER100.
- MSC Cruises will offer 7-night trips on sale beginning Thursday, November 26 to Wednesday, December 2, offering up to 30 percent off and $400 onboard credit per stateroom. The winter sale includes 2016 cruises for Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.
- For those who have the "Chalet Girl" thing going and want to ski or snowboard on the alps, there are discounts offered via Snow.com. Several resorts like Lodge at Vail, a RockResort, and Austria Haus are offering deals up to 50 percent off.
- For those who want to have fun in the city, there are franchise hotels and inns riding on the Black Friday bandwagon as well. Nerd Wallet mentioned Red Roof Inn offering 30 percent off their branches in various locations in over 40 states, while Morgans hotel group slashes 41 percent off for its upscale brand. The chain has locations in major cities like Miami Beach, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. They can also be seen in London, Istanbul, and soon, in Doha.
Before you get planning your next vacation though, remember to book your plane tickets. Nerd Wallet noted that these will usually pop up last minute or by surprise, so don't forget to check on your favorite airline from time to time.
Are you more of a shopper or a planner during the Thanksgiving weekend? What city are you planning on going to next?
