The holiday shopping season may be over, but Best Buy is still providing discounts for Apple's latest smartphones.
The 16GB iPhone 5s can be purchased from Best Buy for $124.99 when signing a two-year contract with either AT&T or Verizon Wireless. The latest Best Buy price is down $75 from the regular activated price of $199.99.
As seen on the online Best Buy website, the $124.99 price tag is valid for the black, silver and gold models.
Meanwhile, the colorful iPhone 5c received what may essentially be a 100 percent discount. The iPhone 5c can be purchased for $0 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon Wireless. The $0 price tag is a savings of $99.99 from the usual price of $99.99.
The Best Buy sales could further increase iPhone sales in the U.S. while the world's largest mobile carrier continued to sell the latest Apple smartphones.
As Latino Post reported, China Mobile and Apple have agreed to sell the iPhones in China. China Mobile, with its more than 760 million customers, will start selling the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s on Jan. 17.
"Apple has enormous respect for China Mobile and we are excited to begin working together," said Apple CEO Tim Cook. "China is an extremely important market for Apple and our partnership with China Mobile presents us the opportunity to bring iPhone to the customers of the world's largest network."
