Marshmellows, prepare yourselves: the trailer for the "Veronica Mars" movie is finally here.

E! News debuted the trailer, which shows Veronica (Kristen Bell) learning about her former flame's legal troubles. Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) has been accused of murdering his girlfriend. Veronica learns about the case just as she's about to start a lucrative career as a New York attorney and live happily ever after with Piz (Chris Lowell).

So Veronica returns to Neptune to help her ex, which coincidentally overlaps with her 10-year high school reunion.

"Nine years of radio silence and yet I still kind of knew I could count on you," Logan says to Veronica in the trailer.

The movie, which was fully funded by "Veronica Mars" fans, hits AMC Theaters on Friday, March 14 in select cities.

Series creator Rob Thomas wrote the film's script, and Diane Ruggiero directed.

"This project has been a labor of love for everyone involved--me, the cast, my producing partners," Thomas said in a statement. "We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from the Kickstarter backers. This movie wouldn't have happened without them."

The "Veronica Mars" series aired for three seasons, from 2004 through 2007, on UPN and The WB. When the Kickstart fundraiser to raise money for the film was launched in February 2013, it reached its goal of $2 million in just 10 hours. The campaign eventually grossed more than $5.7 million in total.

In addition to Bell and her on-screen flames, most of the original cast will also return for the movie. Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, Ken Marino, Tina Majorino and Enrico Colantoni will all reprise their roles in the film.
