Roma manager Rudi Garcia claimed that FC Barcelona that should not be feared by other soccer teams in the league as his boys take on the European champions on Tuesday night at Camp Nou.
In an ESPN report, Garcia said that the word "invicible" does not apply in football noting that it is where the beauty of the game lies.
"When you think a result is already certain, football is one of the few sports where a weaker team can still win," he noted.
Garcia also told Sports Mole that getting a draw versus the team would be enough "to get through" but he noted that winning would be better.
"For us it won't change much in terms of the table if we draw or lose. To avoid defeat here would be a big deal. It would be better to win, but not many teams can do that. Barcelona are the best team in the world, but if there are chances we have to take them. Only a win can change the future," the coach added.
He also told ESPN that any team who plays against the European champions know that they will have the most possessions. He noted that if opponents will only strive to defend for the full match, then they will certainly lose.
"We've got to take all the chances we get. We have also got some very talented players and, with these, we are going to have to be incisive when it matters," Garcia added.
He admitted that this task will be a difficult one to do but noted that they will strive hard to make a goal.
Last September, Roma had a 1-1 draw versus Barca in the Group 3 opener but Goal said that Luis Enrique's team has improved its form since then.
They beat close rivals Real Madrid in a 4-0 score last Saturday and has star player Lionel Messi back after a knee injury.
But Garcia remains positive that his team will try its best to seal a win. "We're going to try to do things differently and not just defend. There are solutions. It's difficult to put them into practice because you have to take risks, but we cannot win without taking risks."
According to International Business Times (IBT), Barca will still qualify for the next rounds if they lose and if Bayern Leverkusen loses BATE Borisov in a separate group match.
Meanwhile, Roma should win the game to qualify to play in the next games but IBT said that it may indeed be a challenge for Garcia's team since it is missing Francesco Totti, Gervinho and Mohamed Salah due to injuries.
