For the La Liga de Mexico this coming weekend, FC Barcelona is set to face Real Madrid for "El Clasico" in one of the most exciting games of the season. In the list of the most anticipated games for this season, the Barca and Real Madrid face-off is on top of the list.
Goal.com said this could be a really exciting match since both sides are known to make goals in the last nine Clasicos.
"Real is undefeated in its last 22 home games in the league, presenting a stern challenge for the Blaugrana, but they have won only two of their last seven home matches against their great rivals," added the same report.
The game, which takes place this Saturday (Nov. 21) afternoon, is expected to be a tough one with both teams trying to outclass each other in this awaited match.
"It's the kind of occasion when a captain must step up and deliver. [Sergio] Ramos is a veteran of 30 El Clasicos and the Real Madrid stalwart will be hoping his experience will give him the edge when he comes face-to-face with in-form Barca ace Neymar," noted SkySports.
According to Bleacher Report, Lionel Messi's return from a knee injury is still questionable for Saturday. It added that FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has tried to cope with this loss using other players in his team.
The same report added that Messi is a vital part of Barca's game plan since his skills are very helpful to the team.
But in the absence of Messi, SkySports noted that Neymar has been a big help to the team making 13 goals for the season. It added that the Brazilian player has definitely stepped up with his performance and contribute goals for the team.
Aside from the Real Madrid and Barca faceoff, soccer fans are also anticipating the clash between Real Sociedad and Sevilla, Espanyol versus Malaga, Valencia and Las Palmas, and Real Betis and Atletico Madrid.
Spain's secretary of state for security Francisco Martinez told TheStar that security measures for the Barca and Real Madrid game are already in place at the Bernabeu where about 80,000 fans are expected to watch.
"There will be at least 1,000 police from the national force, which is double what is normal for a game like this, 1,400 private security guards and on top of this there will be the municipal police," Martinez added.
He noted that the police force is "on anti-terrorist alert four" to make sure that the match will be peaceful.
