For people who want to get the right amount of sleep they need, the Juvo sleep monitor may just be the perfect device for you.
According to TechTimes, the newest technology will not only function as a sleep tracker but will also help users "sleep better."
Juvo Labs, the small company behind this genius discovery, has reportedly started an Indiegogo campaign to turn a bedroom to a sleep assistant.
"Actively tracks & manages your sleep so you stay healthy. Slips under any mattress, no wearables!" read the device's description on the Indiegogo page.
For one to be able to use the device, CNet said a fiber-optic pad should be placed under the mattress. This will connect to a square monitor which could be placed on a bedside table.
"The technology tracks sleep by monitoring bodily vibrations, and is even able to monitor things like heart rate and breathing patterns to detect whether the user is asleep or not," added the same report.
This sleep monitor is also said to be a vital part of a smart home since it can connect with other smart home devices like your television and air-conditioning unit. It may have the capability to turn off the TV when it detects that you are already asleep. CNet said a person's sleep will not only be monitored but it twill also offer you the best thing to do based on your sleep record.
"Juvo is the only sleep monitor that can track your breathing, heartrate and movement in real time, completely unobtrusively. It allows you to understand the sleep quality of the user while being assured that they are within the parameters appropriate for their age group," added Juvo Labs in its website.
In addition, CNet noted that the advice given by the monitor could help people "remove a lot of the anxiety people feel regarding sleep."
The same report said this could be very useful especially to those older people since they have more inconsistent sleeping patterns.
It is expected that Juvo will be using one's sleep data to personalize its advice. To do this, it will suggest naps, recommend changes in exercise schedule and encourage physician visits.
All these modern help and convenience is being offered at the Indiegogo page for $139 while a distributor pack could reach up to $6,000 for a distributor pack.
As of early Wednesday morning, the campaign has earned $23,379, which is 47 percent of the company's $50,000 goal.
