Mexico is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Being a country gifted with natural beauty, Mexico has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

While Cancun is just one of the many beautiful tourist destinations in this culturally rich country, there is the stereotype that the country is full of partying spring breakers. Not to mention that the State Department had earlier issued a travel warning for Americans in select spots in the country.

Besides great spots for Spring Break, The Huffington Post notes that Mexico is home to 67 national parks and 41 biosphere reserves, which are also great places to visit. Mexico's deserts, rivers and mountains will astound tourists with its more than 5,000 miles of coastline. The country also boasts one of the world's longest underwater caves.

Before travelling to Mexico, keep in mind that the country is a diverse land full of different cultures and natural wonders. It is ideal for those who want to escape from the pressures of the city and just get away from it all. Moreover, it is an exciting ride not for the faint of heart.

Chichen Itza stands as a testament to the ages dating back to the Mayan culture. The imposing El Castillo structure makes this site one of the most stunning spots in the country.It is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State.

Horsetail Falls, Monterrey

The Cola de Caballo, translated as "Horse's Tail" waterfalls in Monterrey garners a lot of attention from tourists all around the world. The falls make for a breathtaking sight. The surrounding area is also popular for nature enthusiasts as well as thrill seekers. Book a horse-back riding session or go bungee-jumping after taking in the beauty of the falls.
