GOP Presidential Candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham warned that "there is a 9/11 coming" if the United States refuses to play a leading role in the war against the Islamic State. In an interview with Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" via CNN, Graham remarked that he hopes France will invoke a NATO provision that would call its allies against ISIS in a war.

"The world should be at war with ISIL. I'm trying to protect America from another 9/11, and without American boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq, we're gonna get hit here at home," Graham said. "And if you don't understand that, you're not ready to be commander-in-chief in my view."

A former Air Force colonel, Graham has boasted that he has more foreign policy experience compared to his Republican rivals, particularly front-runners Donald Trump and Ben Carson. He also called out US President Barack Obama for his reluctance in putting more troops in the Middle East.

Graham noted that Friday's attacks will be repeated, and even on a larger scale unless the ISIS is destroyed. "There is a 9/11 coming, and it is coming from Syria if we don't disrupt their operation inside of Syria," he shared.

He even called on 10,000 American troops in Iraq to set a regional military force, pointing out that if they refuse to go to war, what the world saw happen to Paris is going to happen to the United States.

Among other things, Graham does not support the United Nations' 1951 Refugee Convetion, either, as it states that all signatories should accept people fleeing persecution. Inquisitr noted that the investigations following the Paris attacks showed that at least one of these terrorists smuggled himself into France with the Syrian refugees.

However, investigating all 4 million refugees that arrived in Europe will require an enormous amount of resources. Noting that the United States has promised to open its borders to displaced Syrians as well, Graham argued, "The best thing the world could do for Syrian people is to create a safe haven within Syria, a no-fly zone."

"The best thing the United States could do to protect other homeland is go on offense, to form a regional army with the French involved that they'd like to be and go on the ground to destroy their caliphate," he added.

What do you think about Graham's recommendation to go on offense regarding the Syrian war, in light of the terrorist attacks over the past few weeks?
