We compiled five of the best PC games for this year.
'Star Wars: Battlefront'
The "Star Wars: Battlefront" reboot from DICE was described by IGN as "playful and imaginative" and "driven by a sense of adventure and fun above all else." There are flawless details incorporated in the game, which looks, feels, and sounds like the original trilogy. The Supremacy, Walker Assault, and Drop Zone modes in "Star Wars: Battlefront" is also notable.
The game will be released on Nov. 17, 2015, Tech Radar wrote.
'Fallout: 4'
Bethesda Game Studios' "Fallout: 4" replaces its predecessor's post-nuclear wasteland to Boston 200 years after the nuclear war, GameSpot reported. The war made life in Boston more difficult; all citizens want to survive its repercussions but no one wants to team up together.
GameSpot wrote that "Fallout: 4" is "an engrossing game that lures you in with mystery and the promise of adventure." It also uses its dark world as the setting of exciting and spellbinding battle stories.
"Fallout: 4" was launched on Nov. 10, 2015, Tech Radar noted.
'Torment: Tides of Numenera'
"Torment: Tides of Numenera" developed by inXile Entertainment is expected to be released this year. The game is based on the pen-and-paper game Numenera, which is set a billion years in the future in the Ninth World, Tech Radar wrote.
In August, PC Gamer reported that the game's process will bear close resemblance to its predecessor, "Planescape: Torment," but with a smaller amount of initial choices.
"At the start of the game, the only immediate choice you'll make is what gender you want to play. Like PST, your name and appearance are predetermined, and you'll start with 9 in all three Stat Pools (Might, Speed, and Intellect)," said Design Lead Adam Heine, as quoted by Kick Starter.
Heine continued, "Early in the narrative, you explore several memories and, in doing so, allocate 6 additional Stat Pool points while also showing a leaning toward what Descriptor best applies to you. The way you will do this is entirely in-world and part of the story. Your Descriptor gives you a few first Skills and some Stat adjustments, defining a flavor for everything you do."
'XCOM 2'
"XCOM 2," developed by Firaxis Games and Feral Interactive, transports players 20 years into a future where humanity was defeated in a war against an alien race, which has instituted a new world order, according to a separate report from IGN. XCOM, the secret paramilitary organization, has been forgotten and must rise back and regain Earth and free mankind from the aliens' rule.
"XCOM 2" will bow on Feb. 5, 2016, Tech Radar noted.
'Doom'
The upcoming "Doom" game published by Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Media is a reboot of id Software's series. Tech Radar wrote that the early footage shown at the E3 2015 featured a gory gameplay. Enemies can be blown into chunks using high-capacity shotguns, rifles, weapons powered by lasers, and chainsaws. Watch the footage below.
Expect the "Doom" reboot to be released in 2016.
