Nike is set to start the year 2014 on a high note with the upcoming release of several highly-anticipated sneakers.

After the success of the fourth shoe included in the "Prelude Pack", the fifth of the eight-shoe pack is expected to make waves soon.

Nike confirmed that the Kobe Prelude V will hit the market on January 4 and will retail at $200 per pair on a limited basis.

The Prelude V sports a retro and pop art-inspired look - an edition that is officially listed as the university gold/metallic gold-gamma blue edition of the shoe. The shoe was made to commemorate the fifth NBA title of Bryant, which he grabbed when the Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals.

"Kobe Prelude V celebrates Kobe Bryant's status in popular culture. Bold color accentuates the Nike Flywire, a technology that was just one year old at the time the Kobe V debuted four years ago," Nike noted. "A gold-filled Swoosh pays tribute to Bryant's championship captured in this shoe, while a glow-in-the-dark outsole pulls everything together."

The Kobe Prelude Pack features all eight of Bryant's signature shoes, which will all be released in revolutionary art-inspired editions in anticipation of the upcoming release of the Kobe 9 Elite in February.

Aside from the Prelude V, another signature shoe of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is expected to get a lot of attention soon -- the Kobe Venomenon 4.

This signature model was previously exclusively available to Bryant's fans outside of the United States, but was made available stateside for the first time in December.

The second colorway -- the court purple/wolf grey-volt -- will officially hit the market on January 4 as well for $120 per pair according to solecollector.

Meanwhile, the latest colorway of Kevin Durant's signature shoe is also slated for release this January.

The "Away II" edition of the KD VI that is officially listed as the Black/Volt-Vivid Blue-Dark Grey colorway of the shoe will hit the market on January 11. This edition features a black-based upper part accented with vibrant volt and vivid blue hints. Retail price is set at $130 per pair.
