Gamers are already excited about the upcoming games for next year as 2016 promises great potential for the gaming industry.

But what can we really expect as far as games are concerned? Below are some of the top games expected next year:

1. Rachet & Clank Remastered

NerdMuch said this Sony game will be released during the second quarter of next year on the PS4.

"The PS4 need 'Rachet & Clank Remastered' badly. And after seeing the recently released gameplay video for the upcoming PS4 game, we're excited to see these two unlikely heroes find their way to the newest generation of consoles," added the same report.

2.  Mass Effect Andromeda

According to TechTimes, this game is the next chapter of the installment which has become a hit to gamers worldwide. With its trailer recently released, the said game Commander Shepard had a female counterpart which could mean that a new hero should be expected.

"The trailer also shows what appears to be the possible ship the players will be using. Interestingly enough, it looks like something that shares characteristics typical of both Reaper and Citadel Technology," added the same report.

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Gamepur said the upcoming game's demo showed great "graphics and visuals effects" that the gaming industry has never seen before.

According to PC Advisor, the upcoming game is set three years after the events on "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" where Nathan was forced out of retirement to help his brother Sam.

"His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves," read the description on the PlayStation website.

PC Advisor also reported that the game will come with "amazing" features.

"It features Nathan and Sully wandering through a French-speaking market before being ambushed by military soldiers," added the same report.

4. Street Fighter 5

This game is expected to be released on the PS4 and PC on March 2016 and will have Zangief in its list of characters.

Mashable said that the "barely clothed" Russian wrestler will again engage in battle in the upcoming instalment of the Street Fighter game series.

The NerdMuch report added that gamers are a little sad since the game will not come to the Xbox One.

"We are still excited for the next iteration of our favorite fighting game franchise. We were growing sick of the Ultra Super Turbo editions. We've wanted a SF5 for quite some time, and Street Fighter 5 is sure to be one of the most anticipated upcoming games for many gamers around the globe," added NerdMuch.

5. Doom

This game from Bethesda will launch on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC by the second quarter of 2016. NerdMuch noted that the trailer of the game looked impressive that is why it is one of the most awaited games for next year.
