"The Walking Dead" Season 6 continue to deliver an extensive array of surprises, one of which would be the fate of fan-favorite character Glenn who was seen dragged down the dumpster by gut-hungry walkers.
Fans were surprised after the series' season 6 showed how Steven Yeun's character was dragged by the lifeless body of Nicholas (Michael Traynor) in a massive herd of zombies two weeks ago.
After that, speculations that Glenn is not as dead as was portrayed in the TWD episode surfaced. See Exhibit A:
Early this November, showrunner Scott M. Gimple made a surprising reveal about whether or not Yeun is still part of the cast of "The Walking Dead."
"In some way we will see Glenn - some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn - again. Either in flashback or the current story to help complete the story," Gimple said in a statement through Chris Hardwick as cited by TV Line.
According to the outlet, the statement was released during "Talking Dead's" in memoriam segment that apparently did not include Glenn.
This is something notable considering how the talk show used to feature a sort of exit interview for actors whose roles have been killed off in some way during the zombie apocalypse.
Another hint that Yeun's character has not said his final farewells yet is the fact that the show purposely avoided tackling his death following the dumpster incident focused on other characters like Morgan.
Now, a report from Comic Book revealed the TWD showrunners' plans in revealing what exactly happened to the character.
In an interview with Ross Marquand who portrays Aaron, the actor revealed that the big reveal is "right around the corner."
"The showrunner and the writers are not planning on keeping the audience in suspense the entire season," Marquand added.
Aside from that, Marquand also revealed how optimistic Maggie (Lauren Cohan) are despite the fact that they live in a world filled with gut-hungry zombies.
"I think, truthfully, they're the type of people who are optimists. They're very pragmatic but they're also the type of people that say, 'Listen, let's not rule out hope until there's legitimate proof that someone is dead or something is over,'" he explained.
This statement, says Cinema Blend, inadvertently confirmed that the characters are also still hoping that Glenn is indeed still alive and just covered with guts or has somehow dodged the huge horde of walkers trying to eat his brain.
Either way, fans would have to wait and see as the show moves on to its next episodes.
