A new teaser message has hinted what the newest set of story DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins will be about, along with promising users that the new content will be available soon.

In a series of Twitter messages from the game's official account, the contents of the DLC have been hinted at by the developer. The first message was released on Dec. 31, 2013, and it invited follows to the Humanitarian of the Year Awards at the Wayne Manor. A specially created invitation was also attached to the Twitter message as well. The second message posted on Jan. 1 revealed that all new story DLC for the game would become available in 2014, and a new photo showed a statue with a massive diamond being covered in ice.

This new photo seems to indicate that classic Batman villain Mr. Freeze would be making an appearance in the game. After all, the villain appeared in previous games in the series before, and the ice in the photo makes it fairly obvious that Mr. Freeze would be the subject of the new DLC. Plus, the bad guy was not a part of the main story of Batman: Arkham Origins, leaving the villain open to a separate story for the DLC. In addition, while being interviewed by Eurogamer Batman Arkham Origins senior producer Ben Mattes stated that the story DLC for the game would continue the central theme of explore the origins of Batman and his relationship with the various villains within the series:

"It is in line with our angle of the origins - not necessarily of characters, but of key relationships...It is a DLC that will focus on one of the most key relationships in Batman canon."

However, despite these hints there is still several mysteries hovering around this DLC. For example, if Mr. Freeze crashes these awards at Wayne Manor, will players have to play as Bruce Wayne or as Batman? Will Robin be involved in the DLC at all, or will the sidekick be sidelined? Will there be references to the infamous Batman & Robin movie, perhaps in the form or some lines being quoted or the famous Batsuit with nipples being available for players? All these possibilities could happen, and fans will have to wait until the DLC is released to find out.
