American professional boxer, Timothy Bradley, is excited for his match versus Brandon Rios on Saturday as he defends his WBO welterweight championship belt in Las Vegas.

The New York Post said Bradley is most proud of his physical condition when he faces the former lightweight champion.

"I've been in a lot of gyms. But I've never learned the type of skills that I'm going to display. Everybody watching is going to be amazed how I look," Bradley said.

The same report noted that Bradley is now under the tutorship of Teddy Atlas, who helped him improve his defensive skills after his fights versus Jessie Vargas and Ruslan Provodnikov.

"I wanted to learn more. I wanted to be a better fighter. I was eager to go the gym every day. I know it's a challenge, but I was excited. We're just waiting to get on that stage and show what we've been doing the last seven weeks," Bradley mentioned in the New York Post report.

According to ESPN, there is no long-term commitment between Bradley and Atlas since they "agreed to work on a fight-by-fight basis."

The boxer added that he promised his trainer that he will prepare mentally for the match for him to be able to fight smart.

"Teddy's been constantly drilling me about following the game plan and implementing good habits that will transfer to the ring. You drop your hands during training camp, I'm pretty sure you'll drop them in the ring during the fight. You limit your mistakes. That's what we've done. Teddy don't skip a beat at all. He's a teacher, a motivator, a great person. You can't get better than Teddy," Bradley added.

In a similar report on SkySports, Bradley mentioned that he is aiming for success in his career, but noted that he is already proud of what he has done in the sport.

"I'm extremely happy for what I've done in my career and the fact that I have control over everything that goes on around me...I'm a smart fighter. I'm a smart person and very intelligent," he explained.

Bradley's fight on Saturday versus Rios is a much-awaited one since this would determine if the former as another shot at fighting Manny Pacquiao, whom he previously beat in 2012. Bradley has a record of 32-1-1-1 with 12 knockout victories.

As for Rios, he comes in with a 32-2-1 record and is known to be a "hard puncher."

Both fighters are expected to bring their best performance during the match this weekend.
