Google had announced the release of Android's latest operating system, Android Marshmallow 6.0 in Oct. 5. However, not all models got the same release date for the update.
In a report with Gotta Be Mobile, LG announced that it is moving forward with its plans for the upgrade of its latest offering- the LG G4.
According to the site, the South Korean company LG will be moving forward with the LG G4 Android 6.0 update on a massive scale in South Korea. This process should take around two weeks in order for it to reach all users, the website said.
The website said that it is necessary to ensure that the update has no bugs or issues. Should this be not a problem, the upgrade for Android 6.0 shall be made available in the United States.
The South Korean company has made the announcement that it will push forward in its plans of improving its Android 6.0 upgrade. There are announcements on the site that LG is doing rigorous testing on the upgrade. If all goes well, an early December release for the Android 6.0 upgrade is possible.
In a report with Android Pit, the Xperia Z5 Compact will be among the first Xperia devices who will receive the Android 6.0 update. As of the moment, Sony is still working on the update for the Xperia line of phones.
One of the notable features that the upgrade will bring is Stamina mode, which is said to boost the battery life of Xperia phones. Sony is already known for having the best battery life when it comes to smartphones. The latest upgrade will reportedly boast a new interface plus features that would allow Xperia users to make significant improvements in battery life.
Meanwhile, Samsung's latest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will not receive the highly anticipated upgrade as per a report with Neuro Gadget. However, should Note users want to get the Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade, they can opt for an alternative- Android 6.0 Marshmallow CyanogenMod CM13 custom Rom. Like the Galaxy Note 3, the Android 6.0 is not available for the Google Nexus 7 and can only be upgraded via Android 6.0 Marshmallow (AOSP) custom ROM.
