"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder reveals how the Kryptonian hero's moral compass can become his weakness during a battle against the Dark Knight.
Who would win in a battle between Batman and Superman? That has been widely debated over the years.
In fact, the website Who Would Win a Fight had even launched a vote on who would actually win when a battle between what the site dubbed as the "Bats" and "Supes" occurred.
However, on March 25, 2016 fans anticipating the most awaited bout can be viewed in live action, thanks to Snyder and Warner Bros. who made sure the "Dawn of Justice" comes.
In a recent interview with Total Film as cited by Indie Wire, the filmmaker revealed that Batman has the upper hand over Superman, noting that the characteristic that makes the Kryptonian "good" is the exact same thing that can be used against him.
"The advantage that Batman has is the goodness of Superman; the compliance to fair play that Superman has... Batman knows how to exploit Superman," Snyder explained.
This idea is not unheard of particularly after Who Would Win a Fight launched the voting contest between the two.
"Superman embodies the All American persona, a more polished mama's boy with unwavering values and morals while Batman is not only the most cunning detective on the planet, but he's also one of the most intelligent people to walk the Earth," the website explained.
Aside from describing him to be someone with a body honed "to the peak of human perfection," the outlet also believes that Batman is a "straight-up bad ass" and does everything in his power to get the job done even if he had to bend his ideologies.
Meanwhile, Cinema Blend notes that while past portrayals of the Caped Crusader shown him as a solid anti-murdered, the Bruce Wayne that would be presented in the DC Cinematic Universe flick is quite different.
This is because he holds Superman responsible for the deaths that resulted from the downing of the Metropolis Wayne Enterprises building during the battle against Zod.
In the last trailer for the film released in July, Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne spoke of his scorn towards Superman, saying: "He has the power to wipe out the entire human race, and we have to destroy him."
Of course, the movie would not end without two of DC's strongest heroes making up towards a single goal of defeating the real enemy: Lex Luthor.
But for what it's worth, who do you think would win if Batman and Superman were to battle? Sound off your ideas below.
