Daniel Radcliffe joins James McAvoy in the latest movie remake of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" which would is titled after the eccentric scientist "Victor Frankenstein."

Years after the massive break in his acting career thanks to J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series, the young British actor is exploring roles that his fans may have not expected for him.

Now, Radcliffe would portray Dr. Frankenstein's assistant Igor in director Paul McGuigan's fresh new take on the classic horror novel which is probably one of his most current and the second oddest role he takes on to date, next to being a horned boy in the 2013 dark fantasy horror-comedy "Horns."

In "Victor Frankenstein," the 26-year-old British actor plays Igor, the famous hunchback assistant to the Dr. Frankenstein in the classic novel.

According to a Screen Rant, the movie focuses on the story of how the brilliant and egomaniacal doctor frees Igor from his "humble trappings" as a deformed circus clown and takes him under his wing to be his assistant in raising the dead.

The former "Harry Potter" star told the outlet how Dr. Frankenstein earned Igor's "insane loyalty" after treating his best friend and trapeze artist Lorelei played by Jessica Brown Findlay, who suffered severe injuries from a nasty fall.

Radcliffe explained that aside from coming to his best friend's aid, Dr. Frankenstein rescued Igor from his life as an "abused, mistreated, really ugly creature."

During a tour on set, Radcliffe told ComingSoon.net how he had to experiment on different things a hunchback would probably look and do after learning what role he would be playing.

"When I knew I was playing the part, I experimented with a few different things you can do, and a couple of them couldn't have been sustained. I did a couple of them for a day, and had pain for a week," he explained, adding that he had to settle to the 'most sustainable' pose he can.

Meanwhile, Producer John Davis explained how the movie comes as a sort of back story for Dr. Frankenstein and how Igor helped make him who he really is contrary to how he was depicted in the book as well as in previous Frankenstein movies.

"I think what [Max Landis, the movie's screenwriter] was trying to originally accomplish was a Frankenstein unlike any you've seen before, which is one that's rooted in character relationships between a - maybe not mad, but misunderstood, scientist - who's got a strong pull and vision, and the origin of his assistant, and how that relationship started," Davis pointed out.

"Victor Frankenstein" would debut in theaters on November 25, 2015. Here's a short clip from the film.
