With the end of the year fast approaching, it is never too early for speculations to surface about Samsung's new installment for the Galaxy series. While there is no specified release date as of now, there are already rumors all over the Internet about what is to be Samsung's biggest flagship smartphone.

In a report by Hacked, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will prove to be far superior to their predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy S6, and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Just how do these two rumored phones compare against each other? Here is a brief comparison between the two.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to have an ultra high super AMOLED display, which boasts of a 4k or even 5k resolution. Given that Samsung has found success in bigger phones, the Samsung S7 will have a 5.5-inch screen. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy Edge S7 will also be running on Exynos 8890.   

According to other rumors, both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will boast a better battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as reported by Realty Today.

Another notable upgrade of these two high-end Samsung models is that both will be running on the latest Android operating system, Marshmallow 6.0.

The new phones are also expected to sport better cameras. Gone are the days when a camera-loving smartphone users had to lug around a digital camera for the random photo op. Nowadays, all it takes is to whip one's smartphone and that's it.

Not to be outdone, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a 12 MP rear camera with LED display, which is a step back in the megapixel wars. An added compensation is the sensor which will come with a 20MP ISOCELL sensor, as reported by GSM Arena. This will feature the technology employed in Sony's Xperia Z5 series.

When it comes to the release date, the rumors vary. However, there are those who say that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be released as early as January 2016, there are also those sites who say that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will see an April 2016 release.

Pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is also up for debate as the price of a rumored smartphone is rarely leaked. The Samsung Galaxy S7 will come at a retail price of $800 while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be priced slightly higher at $900.
