It's kind of sweet when a former flame admits that he still has feelings for you, but there are times when you just have to tell him to move on. Life goes on.

With Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, however, you can never know whether their last breakup is their last, and with the Biebs latest admission, who knows, we might see them together again soon.

In an appearance on Access Hollywood, JB spoke about his new album, "Purpose" and the heavy love theme that surrounds it. Back then, he spoke about Selena, saying that she is his "first real love" and that she inspired much of the album. Out of the 13 songs, Justin said that "probably like 3" are about the former Disney starlet.

Ryan Secrest.com noted that the pair have been dating on and off since 2010, but it wasn't until 2014 when they called it quits for good. It's been over a year, and yet, the "Sorry" singer revealed that he wasn't completely over her.

He shared, "It was really tough. I don't know if I'm over it yet. I think that I'm definitely in another place and I think we've definitely went our separate ways." He continued, "I love her and I want her to be awesome, but there are things that remind me of her."

There was even a song he wrote for her that didn't quite make the cut, which he apparently titled "If I Would Have Met You In 5 Years". He said, "How true is that? How many people go through life and end up meeting someone and it feels so right, but it's just the wrong time? So many people can relate to that."

But despite all the things that they went through, the Canadian star admitted that he will never stop loving her. He shared, "[She] is someone I love dearly. I'm never going to stop loving her. I'm never going to stop checking in on her. I don't think if you end a relationship, you should end that, unless it was super toxic and you guys were hurting each other physically or mentally."

As for whether or not they are ever getting back together, Justin admitted that he doesn't know what will happen in the future, but he will take the time apart to figure himself out, and he thinks she will do the same.

But what did Selena have to say about Justin's admission? A source for Hollywood Life said, "After Selena heard the interview, she texted Justin a thumbs up emoji and a wink. His confession won't make things more awkward between them. In fact, it has kind of broken the ice between them."
