A teaser trailer for the upcoming "Warcraft" movie adaptation was recently unveiled.

The 16-second clip premiered on Legendary Pictures' YouTube page on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Watch it below. The first full trailer will debut on Nov. 6.

Directed by Duncan Jones from a screenplay he penned alongside Charles Leavitt, the film adaptation of "Warcraft" by Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky, and Daniel Wu, the movie's official site listed.

As provided by its website, the film's synopsis reads: "The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something."

Earlier this month, new images from the movie surfaced online from the latest issue of Empire. The stills showed glimpses of the flick's three main characters: Anduin Lothar (Fimmel), Durotan (Kebbel), and Orgrim Doomhammer (Kazinsky). Check them out on SlashFilm.

According to IGN, the "Warcraft" movie adaptation has been in development since 2006. Jones' vision for the film shows both sides of the story, meaning audiences will feel conflicted as to which group -- Alliance or the Horde -- they will root for. Sam Raimi was originally tapped to helm the film, but his plan to showcase the Hordes as the bad guys didn't sit well with game developer Blizzard Entertainment, so the director departed the project.

Jones also said that he's hoping for a PG-13 rating for the film, but assured fans that it has the same level of grit as "Gladiator." IGN reported that the director aimed to take on the themes of "The Dark Knight," which was "in no way a light movie devoid of death and destruction, but rather found different ways to showcase the horrors of violence." Jones claimed that the project's complexity will be a combination of "Game of Thrones" and "Avatar."

Jones and Blizzard's Chris Metzen added that "Warcraft" has some great female characters that have central arcs in the story, IGN noted.

Composer Ramin Djawadi provided the musical score of the "Warcraft" movie. Industrial Light & Magic executed the flick's visual effects.

"Warcraft" bows in theaters on June 10, 2016.
