After consistently making news headlines for strange and erratic behavior in 2013, Amanda Bynes is ending the year on a much better note.

On Sunday, Dec, 29, the 27-year-old actress was spotted stopping by a grocery store with a mystery man and then going for a hike in Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles, reports CeleBuzz.com.

She was dressed in outdoor apparel, wearing workout pants, a blue printed shirt and a pair of pink sneakers. And, not to mention, her haired looked great.

On Christmas day, the "Hairspray" star was also spotted taking a stroll outside with her parents, Rick and Lynn, and their dogs in Thousand Oaks, Calif.  She was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans, pink sneakers and sunglasses, reports E! News.

The troubled star appears to be a lot healthier and happier since being released into her parents' care after spending months at a luxurious rehabilitation facility called The Canyon earlier this month. Her recent behavior is a complete 180 from when she shamelessly sported a messy platinum blonde wig in public and in court, shaved her head and had multiple run-ins with the law throughout the year.   

She was finally committed to a psychiatric hospital on July 22 after setting fire to a stranger's driveway around the corner from her parents' home. She was also rumored to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

A couple of weeks ago, the former child star, who has expressed an interest in pursuing a fashion career, was spotted touring the Orange County campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Bynes is "now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," said her lawyer Tamar Arminak. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."
