When "Beauty and the Beast" returns this January, there will be a definite fallout after the midseason finale's shocking ending. 

The last episode ended with Cat (Kristin Kreuk) shooting Vincent (Jay Ryan) to save her biological father's life. The next episode will feature some serious consequences following the shooting. 

According to TVLine, the upcoming episode is called "Don't Die on Me." 

The synopsis reads: "In order to prevent Vincent from further injuries, Cat helps protect Tori when her life is threatened, revealing a new, unexpected mystery. Meanwhile, Vincent's stubborn attempt to intervene leads to life-changing consequences, which causes Gabe and Cat to grow closer."

There will be some difficult scenes and dialogue in the next episode, including one character asking Cat, "I thought you loved him?" Cat responds, "I did," in the past tense. 

TVLine released new photos from the upcoming episode. In the photos, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) arrests JT (Austin Basis), and another photo shows Cat going to visit Vince and making a gruesome discovery. 

Also, while Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Cat grow closer, photos show that Vince and Tori will continue to grow closer as well.
