The release date for "Thor: Ragnarok" has been set, but two Asgardian characters are at risk of not returning as the actors who play them have yet to be called on to reprise their roles.

Both Fandral and Volstagg, two of Thor's Warriors Three, are in danger of not getting included in the third solo film for the Norse God of Thunder as actors Ray Stevenson and Zachary Levi reveal in two separate interviews that they have yet to hear from the film's makers.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Levi revealed that he have not heard from the Thor showrunners to reprise his role as Fandral in the third installment of the franchise.

"As far as I know, they are still writing the script. Once that's all buttoned down, I'm sure they will be making the phone call to whatever actors are involved," he explained to the outlet.

He also expressed his interest in playing the role all over again, citing that he "would love to reprise Fandral."

"That was a fun experience, getting to be blonde, Asgardian and sounding British," he added.

Prior to that, Stevenson admitted to IGN that he also had not been contacted to join the movie yet though he would definitely be onboard the minute they do.

"As far as Volstagg is concerned, should he be called with his other Warriors Three to protect young Thor again, within a heart's beat he will be there. So, I am waiting to hear," he told the outlet.

The film is not due for release until 2017 yet and the filming has been set to begin next year so there may still be time for the actors to get a phone call even though Cinema Blend believes that that might not be the case.

"It doesn't sound like either actor is not expecting to be in the film. Everybody in the MCU is signed to multi-picture deals and there's a reasonable expectation that they'll be used, even if the part is little more than a cameo," the report explained.

It further noted that they should already be called upon if they are indeed included in the film considering how the third Asgardian Warrior, Lady Sif played by Jaimie Alexander have already been tapped.

According to the actress, she had been tapped to reprise her role in the third "Thor" film where she would play a "pivotal role."

"[Marvel] don't tell me certain things. Because they know I'll be like, 'So here's what's gonna happen.' But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can't tell you what because I'll get shot," she told the Los Angeles Times back in July.
