Did this Duracell commercial reveal what is coming in the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"?

Lucasfilm and Disney continue its lock-and-load marketing strategy with the upcoming new installment for the popular franchise, allowing their partners to promote the movie for them.

In fact, the production company and the Mouse House have apparently let the bronze-capped battery brand to reveal some bigger details about the movie than what they "officially" released in trailers and the theatrical poster.

According to Polygon, the Duracell has just released a live-action commercial entitled "Battle for Christmas Morning" which sees two siblings -- a brother and a sister -- during a snowy Christmas morning playing with their Star Wars toys.

In the ad, the action figures are powered by the battery maker's new line of energy packs called the Quantum batteries.

This new line of Duracell batteries maintain its copper top but exchanged its black bottom with a red sleeve, something the commercial may have adapted from one of the original Star Wars characters who would be returning to "Episode VII": C-3PO.

According to the outlet, C-3PO's left arm is new and is colored red, revealing how the film's makers strategically obscured in the movie poster.

"It's a bit surprising, given that 3PO isn't featured in any of the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. His left arm was also conveniently obscured in the movie's gorgeous official poster," Polygon's analysis read.

However, this may not have always been a secret to begin with considering that such change in the droid's parts was already revealed in a promotional image published in Entertainment Weekly.

What is more interesting about the new Duracell ad is the revelation of how strong the Force is in Rey, the female protagonist played by Daisy Ridley.

In the commercial, the brother hands Luke's green "Return of the Jedi" lightsaber to his sister who is suddenly dressed as Rey.

She is then flanked by Stormtroopers whom she defeats quite easily even without the use of the weapon.

This makes sense, says Screen Rant, since a description of a Rey Halloween costume posted in Star Wars News Net reads: "Completely surrounded by Stormtroopers with blasters and Knights of Ren with lightsabers, she seems to be totally outnumbered. Unfortunately for her enemies, though, they've made a big mistake: it's not about the strength of the weapon, but the strength of the warrior that wields it."

Aside from that, more merchandise reveals how strong The Force is in the female character as her Star Wars trading card is marked with the Jedi symbol, while Finn, the other protagonist in the film played by John Boyega, does not, says Screen Rant.
