Selena Gomez To Receive Chart Topper Award at Billboard's Women in Music 2015 Event

Selena Gomez will be adding another award to her growing resume. The "Good For You" singer is set to receive a chart topper award at the Billboard's Women in Music 2015 Event.
In a report with Billboard, Gomez had a consistent streak of No. 1 hits. Gomez will receive the Chart topper award at the Billboard Music event which will take place on Dec. 11 in New York. The prestigious award recognizes artist who have consistently earned the coveted top spot in Billboard music charts. Last year, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea took home the crown.

Gomez had only recently made her first public appearance following her close friend and makeup artist Jake Bailey's death. The singer admitted in her Instagram post that she found it "hard to go out" but she put on a brave face in order to attend the InStyle Awards in a show of support to celebrity fashion stylist Kate Young who was named Stylist of the Year.
Selena had first met Young around a year and a half ago, after being introduced through a common friend. Young has consistently styled Selena from everything from her red carpet outfits to even her performance costumes. Both enjoy each other's presence, a report with Belfast Telegraph says.
The "Same Old Love"singer has been keeping herself busy these days, confiding in best gal pal Taylor Swift and choosing to stay away from the dating scene for a while after an emotional split from her on-and-off boyfriend, Justin Bieber. The former celebrity couple date on and off for four years before parting ways earlier this year. Selena has since then dated EDM DJ and producer Zedd, which did not last very long. Selena has opened up about her fears of dating and that the dating app "Tinder" is something that she will never try.
While Selena herself admitted that she was "super in love" with Justin Bieber, a source reports that Selena hopes for a reconciliation and that all will be well between them.
"Selena freely admits that Justin is the love of her life, the official line is that she's just waiting for him to grow up and see sense before they get back together." the source said.
