A Mexican TV presenter from Televisa has attempted to sexually harass his female co-host during a live show.

Tania Reza walked out on set after she failed to stop her co-host, Enrique Tovar, from touching her, Mirror reported. The controversial issue took place on Oct. 24 during a live recording of "A Toda Maquina" ("On All Cylinders" in English) in Ciudad Juarez.

In the video, Tovar was seen on camera trying to lift Reza's skirt before grabbing her waist towards him, Mirror wrote.

"Just a little bit, little girl, just stay calm," Tovar told her while attempting to get his hand under her dress, Fox News Latino quoted.

After a few moments, he grabbed her again and appeared to thrust his crotch towards Reza's left hip. Then, while talking about a gold necklace Reza is wearing at the time, Tovar touched various parts of her neck and over the top of her cleavage.

"That's enough, Enrique, quit being an idiot," she told him, as reported by Fox News Latino. "It's one thing talking about my necklace and it's another trying to touch my breast."

Reza attempted to continue doing the show, but she eventually couldn't take Tovar's advances anymore. She took off her earpiece and microphone and walked off stage, but not until declaring, "I can't work like this anymore," the news outlet further reported.

Tovar then told the audience, "Sorry, I think my co-host is a little hormonal," Fox News Latino added.

After the incident, Televisa posted a video on YouTube in which Reza and Tovar explained that the incident was just a joke that went too far and it was a ploy to make a viral video. They added that they are good friends in real life, the news outlet wrote. Watch the clip below.

However, in a recent Facebook post, Reza said that she was forced by Televisa to say that the sexual harassment was staged to wash their hands.

According to Televisa, they did an investigation on the sexual harassment claim and discovered that Tovar and Reza wanted to popularize their segment, adding that the presenters should have informed their producer that they planned to showcase "an offensive act," Fox News Latino wrote. The network fired the two on Monday.

"Televisa strongly condemns this act and any type of harassment," the network said in a statement translated by the news outlet. "We urge Tania Reza that if what happened on the show differs from her original statement to human resources, to not have doubts in letting us know so we can support her in the process of filing a formal complaint. At Televisa we take any form of inappropriate behavior very seriously."
