The "Final Fantasy" players' biggest wish might probably be answered soon as a job listing from Square Enix implies that a PC version of the "Final Fantasy XV" is in the works.
According to Gematsu, a job opening in game developing company posted in Js01 seems to imply that an online game based on the world of the most recent "Final Fantasy" version is in the works.
"Online management, game production around billing, management experience and game system design of knowledge PC games interests, play experience," the post reads based on a round translation posted in Cinema Blend.
The outlet further noted that the contractual position did not mention any educational requirement and that the said job is based in Tokyo, Japan.
Cinema Blend further noted how the requirements seem to be more related to the creation of an MMO and not a console game.
Gematsu's report on this seems to have very little information and the job posting itself have a very vague description, the outlet further noted.
However, what is sure is that many players are praying that the makers of the hit RPG to create a version of "Final Fantasy XV" compatible to the personal computer platform.
In fact, some of the game's fans have posted a petition on the website Change.org for Square Enix's Hajime Tabata to do just that.
"It's been a long time since we have seen a Final Fantasy game on the PC. With this petition, us PC gamers hope that Square Enix will have a good reason to revive Final Fantasy on PC since it is being developed on PC with DirectX 11," the petition read.
The post, which was initiated by Evan Jay of Rockland, New York, has already received 15,009 signatures as of the writing of this article and is still receiving more.
"Final Fantasy XV" is a game that lets players experience being Prince Noctis, a heroic lad who is described by Cinema Blend as "someone engaged in a deep fight with someone he cares for very much."
Aside from Noctis, there are three more characters in the game all clad in a black suit, Tabata revealed in a forum cited by Game Spot.
"The clothing worn by the four main characters is the official battle gear of the Kingdom of Lucis. Noctis is a member of the royal family and the other three characters are parts of various Lucian national organizations and they are each wearing the specific battle dress relevant to their individual stations," the game director explained.
