Action star Vin Diesel has tapped UFC champion Ronda Rousey to teach his 7-year-old daughter judo.
Complex said the actor's daughter, Hania Riley, would be trained by undefeated Rousey on martial arts so that she can handle things on her own even without her father's help.
In an interview with entertainment wire-service provider WENN, Diesel shared how protective he is of Hania Riley.
"First of all. I feel sorry for anyone that has to [date her]. I wouldn't want that on my worst enemy because I'm just that kind of dad. I've been thinking about this since the day I cut the umbilical cord, and because of that, I made a decision early on that I was going to do everything in my power to empower her to handle it herself," added Vin Diesel in the WENN report quoted by Complex.
He then shared that his daughter has made achievements in judo under Rousey's tutorship.
"Because of her 'auntie' Ronda Rousey, she is now an orange belt with stripes in Judo. I'm dealing with it early. I'm creating a beast, and I want her to be able to say no means no," he noted.
The MMA fighter and the actor seemed to have developed a tight friendship when they were filming "Furious 7."
According to the New York Post, Diesel will not regret tapping the skills of Rousey as she won the bronze medal in judo in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
She also started playing judo at an early age because of her mother, who was a world martial artist champion, as per Fox Sports.
"Rousey eventually cultivated those skills enough to win an Olympic bronze medal in judo before becoming a force of nature in the UFC, and she is passing along those tricks of the trade to Diesel's daughter," added the same report.
Bleacher Report mentioned that Rousey is set to defend her undefeated record versus Holly Holm at UFC 193 on Nov. 15 in Melbourne, Australia. Her most recent win was a 34-second victory against Brazilian fighter Bethe Correia in Rio de Janeiro last August.
Discussing the dominating power of Rousey, the same report said she has finished almost all of her fights during the first round except that versus Miesha Tate at UFC 168 which ended duing the third round.
It is expected that Holm will give Rousey a bit of a challenge since she is an ex-boxing star who is known for her "length and excellent footwork." This skill is anticipated to be showcased come November as Rousey again try to prove that she is the best female fighter in the UFC.
