‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Date & News: Sequel to Come Out Next Year, Everything We Know So Far

Action-adventure video game "Red Dead Redemption 2" is now rumoured to come out by next year.
A gamer named Cyberland claimed that if things will go well for game developer Rockstar Games, the new instalment will come out by October 2016.
"My source says that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for GTAV and they are going to focus on RDR2 now. Rockstar expects the game to be out by October next year as long as the devs doesn't hit any road blocks during development. You hyped?" Cyberland said.
Express noted that when the new game becomes available, it will have new system features along with an update on its firmware.
It added that one of the new highlights of the game is the "Suspend/Resume Feature" believed to allow users to suspend or resume games with touch a simple button touch.
After its great success back in 2010, fans are indeed anticipating for the second instalment of the game.
VCPost earlier noted that video game distributor Take Two Interactive confirmed that a project will be launched come 2016.
A separate Express report detailed the development of "Red Dead Redemption 2" was also placed on the spotlight, when Rockstar San Diego posted a job listing, looking for a networking programmer specializing "in a wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game."
When it is introduced in the market, the game is believed to have upgraded multiplayer features and a gang mode which will allow players to choose if they want to be part of a gang or the police team.
Movie Pilot advised developers of the game that they could have Japan as the setting of the new game.
It also added that fans would want to see a "more dynamic fighting system" for this upcoming installment.
In addition, Ecumenical News said that if it is true that the "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have a a co-op multiplayer, it is going to be the first in the franchise to have this feature.
It also revealed that that the upcoming game sequel will also have a port for PC and other next-generation gaming consoles like PlayStation and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, Reddit user AnonDN1987, who claimed he was a former Rockstar Developer, noted that the game has been in development for about three years.
He also dished the PC version of the game along with the plan to have it in other gaming consoles. AnonDN1987 noted that the two characters of the game will be Irish and Seth.
"Irish will be brought up in Ireland and will move to the Americas when he is fifteen and moves to the game setting when he turns twenty one. Seth is from Kansas City and works as a teller in a bank. He then hears of a treasure and uses his life savings to bring his family to Texas in the town of Tumbleweed," added the Reddit user as quoted by Yibada.
