A video explaining the theory on how the "Back to the Future" movies have predicted the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 became viral and had even conquered news headlines.

While it may seem impossible that a film released in 1990 could be referencing to a historical event 11 years later, the theory on how the trilogy had predicted the attack had still made its mark.

In fact, The Wrap considered it as one of the "craziest fan theories" ever made based on the films.

According to the video as cited outlet, the film "Back to the Future" had predicted the 9/11 attack in several of its scenes including one showing a clock that reads 9:55 PM as well as another that depicts a surprise terrorist attack by a group of Libyan terrorists in a placed called the Twin Pines mall.

According to the fan theories, the first scene made a reference to the date of the 9/11 attack since the clock's hands points to 9 and 11.

The second scene, on the other hand, shows the place of the attack whereas the Twin Pines mall allegedly refers to the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.

It also predicted who the attackers would be, putting the Twin Pines mall ambushers with the same religion or ethnic background as the Al-Qaida, the 9/11 attackers.

Running for almost 15 minutes, the clip posted over YouTube also noted how Marty played by Michael J. Fox arrived in the place of ambush at 1:16 PM which, if turned upside down, shows "911," says Cinema Blend.

Aside from that, the film continues to make use of clocks and watches to refer to when the attack would occur, with another scene shows how Doc (Christopher Lloyd) pointed out stopwatches that read 1:19 am, or "911" when unscrambled.

As the outlet points out how farfetched this analysis may be, the video proceeds to a "lingo" that connects the attacks, like a lightning strike warning shouted by a woman, "Save the clock tower!"

The video then moves on to the second film entitled "Back to the Future Part II" where, according to Cinema Blend, "things get REALLY strange."

"They speak about a scene where contemporary Jennifer is in her older self's house. On a screen, the family looks at video of the Twin Pines (or a visual representation of them), followed by a screen that appears to show the World Trade Center," the outlet read.

The video further analyzes events on the film and in real life, noting how Marty and Doc travelled to the future-in October 2015-the month when "The Walk" is set for release.

For those who do not know, "The Walk" is a film about the Twin Towers which is directed by Robert Zemeckis, the same filmmaker who helmed "Back to the Future."
