Of course, being in competition for best smartphone, they have their differences, too. Here's a low-down on HTC One A9 vs Nexus 5X:
Design: The HTC One A9 has a slim 7.26,,-thich metal body with high-end appeal. Tech Radar noted that the bezels above and below the screen of the phone are a bit larger than expected, however, they remain understandable considering that the unit is housing its own fingerprint scanner. The Nexus 5X, on the other hand, is more understated, with a simple slim design that looks less of an iPhone compared to HTC's One A9 (Gizmodo even mentioned that the HTC One A0 looks more a lot like an Android-powered iPhone)
Display: Despite both phones having 1080 x 1920 screens, the 5.2-inch Nexus 5X is larger than HTC One's A9. while it's not too much of a difference, personal preference could persuade users one way or another. For those concerned about the screen, the Nexus 5X uses Gorilla Glass 3, while the HTC One M9 uses the newer Gorilla Glass 4.
Performance: The HTC One A9 has an octa-core Snapdragon 617. It has either a 2GB or 3GB of RAM, depending on the country the phone is manufactured for, The US will get a 31GB model with 3GB of RAM, while UK citizens will get a 16GB model with 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 5X, on the other hand, has a high-end, faster hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip with four cores clocked in at 1.44GHz.
Camera: There is not a lot of difference in both phone's cameras. The Nexus 5X has a 12.3MP shooter, while the HTC One A9 has a 13MP version. However, the A9 has optical image stabilization for keeping shots steady. On the other hand, Nexus 5X can record up to 2160p video, as opposed to A9's 1080p.
Memory: One big factor in the decision to buy any of the gadgets may be the memory. The HTC One A9 has a microSD card slot that can support up to 2TB of external memory, a big bonus against the Nexus 5X, which has no microSD card slot to expand storage options.
Price: The Verge noted that the HTC One A9 will come at $399, while in another report, the outlet noted that the Nexus 5X comes at an even cheaper price at $379.
