Kaley Cuoco finally spoke about her relationship with "The Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki, and no matter what their fans think, they are just friends. What they had years ago was a thing of the past. As The Huffington Post pointed out, the pair dated for about two years until December 2009. But even though they were married on the show, they haven't rekindled their romance in real life.
Cuoco posted a photo of herself and Galecki fist-bumping on Instagram, captioned, "So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds - Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!"
Galecki also did the same, captioning his post, "No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship."
Now that the issue has been cleared up, Cuoco is facing other problems regarding her divorce. People reported that Ryan Sweeting, Cuoco's husband for 21 months, is seeking spousal support from the actress, and is also requesting the court to grant his spousal support to Cuoco be terminated. However, E! News reported that in her papers, Cuoco stated that spousal support was payable and terminable, as set forth by their prenuptial agreement, which they signed in November 2013.
Besides spousal support, Sweeting is also asking Cuoco to pay for his attorney's fees, although the 29-year-old actress listed such to be paid by both parties in their prenup.
As per Cuoco's rep, the couple "mutually decided to end their marriage." However, a source for People noted that there was "noticeable tension" between them before their divorced leaked. The source shared, "The few times Kaley and Ryan were out together recently, the tension was noticeable. You could tell the honeymoon phase had ended."
"It seemed they were trying to work out their marriage by going on dates, but they both seemed miserable," the source went on to say.
Legalities aside, Cuoco seems happy post-divorce, as she spent time with her family and indulged in her own hobbies following the big announcement. In September, she even competed in a horse-jumping event at the Flintridge Autumn Classic in La Canada Flintridge, California. She posted about the event, and captioned it, "Never felt so happy !!! Thank you #fieldstone , Michelle , @twgoldberg @zoeypacyna @peteyleo and all our friends and family that came and cheered us on last night. I've never felt more surrounded by love."
Whatever the result of their divorce, Cuoco will still be appearing on "The Big Bang Theory" together with Johnny Galecki Monday nights on CBS.
