English rock band Radiohead may be heard from the radio waves again with the group hinting on a possible tour by next year.

In a report, Consequence of Sound said that the band that rocked the world in the late 1980s to the 90s recorded their ninth studio album last month.

Guitarist Jonny Greenwood reportedly mentioned over an interview with a Russian radio station that they have already finished recording all the songs in the album.

"We have finished recording of the new album but we keep reevaluating the work we've done. We hope we'll get it right soon, and after that we'll start planning the next year's tour," Greenwood was quoted by Consequence of Sound as saying.

On his Twitter account, the guitarist however clarified that there was mistranslation in the interview and they he only meant to say that they have recorded a lot of material for the past month.

"Nice mistranslation going on....what I actually said: lots has been recorded, and we're about to go through it all to see if it's any good. And we HOPE to tour next year: no plans confirmed yet. Sorry for the over enthusiastic translator...." Greenwood tweeted.

Frontman Thom Yorke also reacted on the article through his Twitter account saying "no IT ain't finished take responsibility for your writing and check your facts occasionally .. alright Jonny?"

Meanwhile, AV Club said that this plan of the band seems to be sticking to the old-fashioned way of "delivering music from town to town on an international tour."

If it indeed materializes, this will reportedly be the band's first album since their 2011 "The King of Limbs" release.

"[It] is rumored to contain songs fans have heard on the band's previous tours-including "Lift," which Radiohead has been playing live since at least 1996- and might break with tradition by including music from outside collaborators," added AV Club.

The release of this supposed album, as per The Quietus, was said to be earlier postponed as members of the band had to take a break and pursue other projects after their last world tour.

It was also noted in the Consequence of Sound report that this news of another album from the band is not a surprise since drummer Phil Selway already hinted that their new album could come as early as fall.

"In early September, composer Robert Ziegler, who previously worked with the band on The King of Limbs, shared several photos from inside of the studio, including one in which Radiohead could be seen recording with an orchestra," added the same report.

Radiohead is composed of Yorke, Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Selway and Ed O'Brien. They were best known for their songs Creep, Karma Police and No Surprises.
