With 22 seasons to its name, you'd think all the smizing will never come to an end. However, the Los Angeles Times reported that after 12 years, Tyra Banks's "America's Next Top Model" will not be getting a 23rd cycle, as the show has not been picked up by The CW.

The show, created and hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks, is a comptetitive reality tv-series that seeks for the best up-and-coming model, and at its peak, has garnered over 6 million viewers. with 22 seasons to its name and 12 years running, it is the longest-running show on the network and the last of the now defunct UPN.

Variety noted that the show not only gave exposure to fashion industry biggies like Janice Dickinson, Twiggy, and Nigel Barker, who were notable judges in the series, it also became the platform that launched several careers, including that of model Adrianne Curry and actress Analeigh Tipton.

CW President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement via the Hollywood Life, "'America's Next Top Model' was a successful franchise for two networks, first at UPN and then the CW, and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon. I want to thank Tyra and [producer] Ken [Mok] for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the U.S., but all across the world."

This cancelation also comes with CW's transition --- from focusing on teen girls and young women, the network is trying for a slightly older demographic and superhero shows like "The Flash" and "Arrow", which are among their biggest hits. In line with the transistion, another romance-focused show is getting the boot: "Beauty and the Beast" is also ending after its fourth season.

Tyra herself confirmed the end of the show via a long message on her Instagram account, where she said that she's proud of all that the show was able to accomplish. She shared to her fans and followers, "May your photos (and selfies) be forever fierce. May you always find your light. And may you werk hallways like runways. Always remember, you are beautiful & bootyful. And please, keep on smizing each and every day for TyTy."

Oh, and if you don't know what "smizing" is, it's a term coined by Banks on the show, which means to smile only with your eyes.

Will you miss ANTM or do you agree that the show should see its end?

Whatever your decision, take Tyra's words along with you: be forever fierce.
