Square Enix has finally released some information about the launch date of "Final Fantasy XV." The game's director, Hajime Tabata, talked with GameSpot a couple months ago and gave an estimate on FFXV's release date.

"At the very least, I can tell you that it isn't going to be released this year," said Tabata.He goes on to say that the release date is set in stone, but says nothing about when it will be announced.

"We really do get the feeling that people are worried. Certainly, on thing I would like to say to them to reassure them, is that we've set down the release date, we know when it is." The "FFXV" director teases fans with the release date by stating, "We can certainly say to people: it's not going to be 2017. It's going to be before that."

The Inquisitr notes that Venture Capitalist Post has published an article indicating a special event set for March 2016 held by Square Enix. According to the report, the gaming company plans to announce the release date of "Final Fantasy 15" at the event as well as their intention to launch the game simultaneously worldwide.

Based on the information reported by Venture Capitalist Post, fans can expect the next FF installation to come out sometime after March 2016.

As for the simultaneous global launch, Tabata confirmed the news himself while addressing localization issues about the game. Some gamers have noticed that English versions of the game differ greatly from the Japanese version.

Attack of the Fanboy notes that one character's name is changed in the translations and fans are not too happy about it. Tabata talked about the issue on an official forum, stating:

"As to your point about Cidney/Cindy, a minor name change may not have created issues in past FF games, but it does for FF XV.  I think it has to do with the fact [that] we are targeting a simultaneous global launch."

Square Enix has been very stingy with the amount of information they release about "Final Fantasy XV," though the gaming company did release a new trailer of the game during the Tokyo Game Show, states Vine Report.

The demo trailer reveals that gamers can choose to either ride around in a Chocobo or opt to travel in a car. However, vehicles in the game must be maintained, much like vehicles in real life. So, Chocobos might be a more convenient way of getting around.

Other than transportation, other rumors have circulated about the game. For instance, Master Herald reports that the developers have decided to rid the game of automatic weapons switching. Apparently a lot of gamers criticized the automatic weapon switching feature, since it interfered with sequences and combos.
