OnePlus recently launched its OnePlus 2 smartphone, but the China based company is already gearing up to release their OnePlus X device.

On Oct. 14, OnePlus' official Twitter page teased their upcoming mobile device with the hashtag "PowerfullyBeautiful." The photo featured a big, lit up X, along with a London press event scheduled on Oct. 29. Expectations say that the new handset is the 5.5-inch smartphone showcased in a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing earlier this month, Slashgear wrote.

Carl Pei, the company's co-founder, previously announced that more mobile devices will debut in public before the end of 2015, the news outlet noted. A blog post on OnePlus' Chinese-language site also confirmed a similar event in Beijing.

Leaked images of the new mid-range handset featured a design that closely resembles Apple's latest iPhone models, Slashgear added. The OnePlus X will be powered by a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, along with LTE/GPS/Bluetooth/WiFi support.

The device, which comes after the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2, is said to be equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back and dual cameras with dual LED flash. The OnePlus X is expected to cost $250, Slashgear further reported.

The news about the OnePlus X comes after the company apologized for the botched phone rollouts of its first two mobile devices. The OnePlus One "was nearly impossible to actually purchase-you needed to snag an invite, or buy during a flash sale or on a Tuesday," PCMag wrote. The launch of the OnePlus 2 also came across supply issues.

"We messed up the launch of the OnePlus 2," Pei said in a blog post quoted by Express. "To our fans, sorry . . . Truth is, hardware is extremely hard. There are so many things to consider, like cash flow, inventory, supply chain and production. Every step of the way, there are landmines for the uninitiated and uncareful. This is a reflection and not an excuse."

Pei continued, "We don't plan on making further promises for future launches, and will instead focus on showing the world how we've improved through our actions."

In order to solve these problems, OnePlus teamed up with Foxconn to manufacture devices in India instead of importing them from China, PCMag wrote. Local production is said to kick off before 2015 ends at a 30,000-square-foot facility in Andhra Pradesh. A peak capacity of up to 500,000 units is planned each month, which makes the factory able to provide more than 1,000 full-time jobs.
