The damage on Lamar Odom's brain was greatly blamed on the sex pills he allegedly took prior to him falling unconscious on the floor of his room in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

According to TMZ, the NBA player took 10 Reload pills, known for its sexual enhancement effects, for three days. It added that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has long warned the public of the pill's serious side effects which could greatly affect a person's health.

"The FDA determined Reload contained sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The label does not reveal the presence of that ingredient, which is normally restricted to prescriptions monitored by a doctor," added the same report.

In an advisory, the FDA noted this hidden ingredient could react when taken with other prescription drugs and "may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels."

"Consumers should stop using this product immediately and throw it away. Consumers who have experienced any negative side effects should consult a health care professional as soon as possible," the FDA added.

Odom is still reportedly critical after he fell unconscious on the floor of his room at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada, owned by Dennis Hof.

Hof earlier said that he saw a "mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth."

In an update, NBC News said that Odom suffered brain damage with him being supported by a ventilator. A medical personnel reportedly said that he had "multiple drugs in his system" when he was admitted at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, CNN reported that Odom also used cocaine over the weekend as per Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly.

"At this point, the case is ongoing," Wehrly added.

On the other hand, Daily Mail detailed that Odom's heart is now failing but his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian remains beside him all the time,

"Her sisters Kim, Kourtney and Kendall have also visited the hospital along with their mother Kris with Caitlyn Jenner also said to be on the way," the same report added.

Khloe also reportedly paid for the trip to Las Vegas of Odom's ex-partner Liza Morales and their children Destiny and Lamar Junior.

Daily Mail also highlighted that the depression of Odom may have been made worse by the comments on the repeat of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode where Khloe said she was worried that her estranged husband will "spiral out of control" especially with the death of his best friend.

Another source of Daily Mail indicated that before the unthinkable happened on Odom, he has been repeatedly talking about Khloe.

"He was all freaked out about Khloe, fixated on her. He was showing the girls photos of them together and wanted to pour his heart out, he wasn't there just for sex, he needed a shoulder to cry on, companionship. He seemed lost," the source added.
