This "Bad Blood" is probably not what Taylor Swift had in mind, although Cinema Blend noted that it did make a big splash at the New York Comic Con.

DC fans, on the other hand, should start getting excited, because with "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" set to be released next year, they have a pretty established animated film universe to look forward to, beginning with "Justice League: War", followed up with "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" and "Son of Batman".

According to Screen Rant, The next film on DC's New 52 lineup is "Batman: Bad Blood" that works to combine old and new story lines. This is done by continuing of the story that started with "Batman vs. Robin" at the same time taking inspiration from Grant Morrison's work on the "Batman and Robin" comic book series.

The film sees Dick Grayson (Sean Maher) becoming the next Batman after Bruce Wayne (Jason O'Mara) goes missing. Alongside Dick Grayson is Damian Wayne (Stuart Allan) who then becomes the next Robin. There are other reports concerning the new Batman's identity, though, including one that theorizes it is actually Alfred Pennyworth (James Garrett) and not Dick Grayson donning the batsuit.

"Bad Blood" is also set to introduce new characters, including Batwoman and Batwing, who are played by "Chuck" actress Yvonne Strahovski and "Grey's Anatomy" actor, Gaius Charles.

Fans will not have to wait long for a sneak peek either. DC All Access has already released the first trailer, which shows that the film is heavily focused on the Bat Family, gathering to battle an unknown threat.

It was also noted that the trailer doesn't introduce the villains by name, although it looks like they're lead by Heretic, a character already introduced in Morrison's "Batman Incorporated", who is said to have strong connections with Bruce and Damien, making his appearance fit for the "Bad Blood" title.

No specific release date has been announced for the PG-13 animated film, although DC Animation has already confirmed that it is going to be available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD sometime in 2016.
