Mark Ruffalo would reportedly be joining Chris Hemsworth as the Hulk in "Thor: Ragnarok" as Marvel continues to receive queries on the jade giant's fate in the entire MCU.

A source reportedly confirmed to JoBlo that Ruffalo's green-skinned character would have some "otherworldly" adventures with the Norse God of Thunder in the third "Thor" stand-alone film.

"Ruffalo is on board," an unnamed source told JoBlo, "as to how much time he'll spend as Hulk vs. Banner, we can't say, only that he's absolutely part of the supporting cast and will feature prominently."

The Hulk was last featured in the Marvel film "Avengers: Age of Ultron" where he apparently flying in the Quinjet.

During the film, Bruce Banner told fellow Avenger Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson how he felt about not finding a place on Earth where he is not a threat to anybody.

According to a report from Yahoo News, the character is last seen on the film looking up the sky beyond the Quinjet.

"In those last few moments, he looks up at the sky above the Quinjet, and then the next time we hear about him, no one can find him. He's just gone. The Quinjet showed up, but there's no Hulk. Anywhere," the report read.

This leads to speculations that the Hulk went into outer space or at least another world.

In fact, JoBlo got word that the third and probably final "Thor" film would involve a "distant planet" that is "not Asgard and not Earth" and hinted that this is a possible introduction to one of the famous comic books storyline featuring the green-skinned monster.

"Certainly the theory will be made that this is where Marvel will work in the long-rumored Planet Hulk storyline, and although we can't completely verify that, we can't completely deny it either. I'll leave it to you on how you want to place your bets, but I know where my money is going," the report read.

Thought there had been no official explanation as to where the Hulk ended up in, JoBlo's revelation is not as surprising as expected considering how both the green monster and the wielder of Mjölnir would not make an appearance in the upcoming 2016 Marvel film "Captain America: Civil War."

Aside from Ruffalo, JoBlo also revealed that "Ragnarok" would feature Tom Hiddleston as the ever-so-popular villain and God of Mischief, Loki.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated for release on July 28, 2017.
