OnePlus Mini Release Looming? Smartphone Passes Through FCC

The OnePlus Mini, an upcoming smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, is believed to be unveiled soon after it reportedly passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
According to MNR Daily, this is the more affordable variant of the OnePlus 2 which the company promised to the public. It added that this mini version will have a smaller display and a less powerful processor but promises an almost similar mobile experiences as the bigger handset for a cheaper price.
Discussing its specifications, Phone Arena said the OnePlus mini will sport a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor at 2.2GHz (similar to the HTC One M9+). The device is also believed to come with a PowerVR Rogue G6200 series GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Aside from these, the same report indicated that the upcoming device will have a 32GB of storage and a 13-megapixel primary camera. It is expected to run on Android 5.1.1.
Meanwhile, Android Headlines noted that a 3,000 mAh Li-Po battery will power the device to make more useful to users for an extended period of time.
A Type-C USB 3.0 port will reportedly be placed on the bottom of the device along with the quick charge port.
Fans of the OnePlus releases are now anticipating the coming of the mini variant which could happen either next month or in December. Gamers may also be interested with this instalment since Android Headlines mentioned that it can "render 3D games in 720p resolution."
Expected to cost $250, the OnePlus Mini is also claimed to carry the following specifications as per TechAdvisor:

Last month, the OnePlus 2 came out of the market and received some great reviews.
Indian Express noted that the phone is "one of the best budget devices in the market at the moment, offering great performance, a super camera and a 64GB of storage."
As for performance, the same report detailed that the phone experiences some problems especially when loading bigger apps like games but noted that it comes with a great camera which shoots photos like a pro photojournalist.
Meanwhile, Wired said that the OnePlus 2 is a "good phone" but not a "flagship killer." It highlighted on the good aspects of the handset like its 1080 display and a battery that lasts for a whole day.
"It runs great, as fast and smooth as you'd ever want, but I can't say I'm not worried about the fire inside," added the same report.
