Want to overthrow a king? Well then, it's time to play the King's Fall Raid in "Destiny: The Taken King." King's Fall is one tough raid, but is beatable with the right team and a bit of luck. Listed below are a couple tips and tricks to help get through King's Fall.
#1: Watch Your Team's Light Level
According to GameZone, King's Fall raid has a required Light level of 280, but if a team's Light level averages 290, you should still have a pretty easy time. It is still important to watch the number though, since defeating the four bosses in the raid can come down to numbers.
#2: Team Makeup
While any subclass can be efficient and useful to have during King's Fall, there are still a couple important subclass members that are valuable to the team. GameZone lists down Nightstalker Hunters, Celestial Gunslingers, Defender Titans and Sunsinger as valuable subclasses.
Nightstalker Hunters can use Nightshot against a string of additional or miscellaneous enemies to clear an area. For instance, Nightshot can come in handy in Area 1: Relic Activation. Relic carriers are defenseless during this time and Nightstalker Hunters can make the perfect guard. Celestial Nighthawk-sporting Gunslingers are also useful for additional enemies, especially for the later stages.
Additonally, Defender Titans and Sunsinger both have useful abilities as well. A Defender Titan may be a tight fit, due to the raid's cramped rooms, but its Ward of Dawn ability can always come in handy. Sunsinger's self-resurrection ability is helpful as well.
#3: Practice Jumping
The King's Fall raid is outfitted with some of Destiny's most dangerous platforms, reports Ten Ton Hammer. To get through the different jumping sections, the team must raise their individual agility ratings and have timing down packed. To increase agility go to your subclass perks page. In addition, added vertical height will be extremely helpful for later jumps.
The Pneumatic Piston room, in particular, will take great precision and timing. Some of the platforms are quite small and one misstep could lead to your characters death in the abyss below.
#4: Make Sure to Have a Good Rifle
Sniper rifles can mean the difference between beating a boss or being beaten by one. All the bosses in the raid will have that one sweet spot that can only be hit from a distance, states Ten Ton Hammer. GameZone suggests the 1000-Yard Stare rifle sold at the Tower's Vanguard Quartermaster. The 1000-Yard Stare has enough power to get through the raid.
