"We are not engaged."

This was the statement from rapper Drake after rumors surfaced that the he already popped the question to his flame, tennis star Serena Williams and that she said yes.

TMZ said that a representative of Drake revealed that a proposal never happened and that the two will not get married soon.

"The rumor is completely untrue," the representative noted.

An OK Magazine report dished that Williams accepted the proposal.

"She said yes, but they want to keep it on the down-low for now," the magazine's source said noting that Drake took the tennis star to his hometown then proposed.

The same report added that all of Williams' friends approve of Drake saying he is "a true gentleman."

"Now that he has her, he isn't letting her go," the source added.

But it seems like this will not hold true for now as Drake denies the rumour, but the public is certainly waiting for a special announcement from the couple.

The two were earlier seen expressing their affection for each other during a New York fashion show last month.

An earlier TMZ report said the couple finally went public with their relationship.

"Not only did they share a kiss on camera -- his lips to her hand -- but she also used a bunch of his songs during the show," added the same report.

According to People, there is no official confirmation yet on the relationship of the two but it is obvious that Drake is Williams' biggest fan, even giving her a front-row support at the Serena Williams' HSN Signature Statement Collection fashion show.

Hollywood Life added that the 2016 spring collection of the tennis superstar "featured a ton of boho fringe detailing with a sexy touch."

She reportedly came out very confident wearing "a black fringed skirt with a sexy low cut top" which showed her legs.

This was not the first time that Drake and Williams were seen intimate as People said that they were also spotted last month "kissing" inside a posh restaurant in Cincinnati during the time when Williams was competing in the Western & Southern Open.

It was also noted that rumors about the two dating surfaced last month when Drake showed up at the guest box of the Wimbledon last month to support Williams.

Then during a press conference last July, Serena answered questions about Drake with him also present during the event.

"We've been friends for, like, so many years ... Just like family," she added.

It was added in the Mirror report that Drake was also frequently seen watching Williams' matches and even "cuddling" her older sister Venus.
