Just like that, new rumors surrounding the upcoming Apple Inc releases came to light. This time, about the 4K 21.5-inch iMac that 9to5Mac said is coming next week.

Sources for the site said that the new iMacs will come with the same design as the previous model, but with upgraded specs and features. Among these are faster graphic cards and improved resolution. While the previous generation has a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution, the new versions will come with a far superior 4,096 x 2,304 resolution for crisper images.

This hasn't been confirmed, of course, but according to PC Mag, it seems that if the company does end up launching the 4K Mac, it will be sitting alongside the 5K Retina model with a 27-inch screen display. As the site noted, the 5K Retina Mac will come with a 5,120 x 2,880 display, making it slightly superior to the 4K computer.

Of course, CNet has mentioned that the iMac lacked the buzz of the iPhone, however, contrary to popular belief, the desktop computer is still very much a part of the company's portfolio. In fact, the Mac business is reportedly still growing --- a contrast from the more sluggish PC market as of late.

So what can we expect from the iMac 4K?

Not a lot of upgrades --- the iMac is said to go through minor updates and feature additions only.

CNet mentioned that the model should come with the new El Capitan software, which despite updating the graphics card, will not show any obvious differences with the previous iMac models based on the design.

However, the El Capitan is impressive in itself. According to Tech Times, the software's smart technology allows more efficient space management and better notification delivery while working. It also has safe and easy syncing for files and apps, making work more fluid. The El Capitan also supports third-party tools that are available via the Mac App Store and are accessible in the Photos app. For those who want to make use of multiple editing extensions, editing tools are also built into Photos.

Coming with the iMac is an upgraded Magic Mouse and Bluetooth keyboard, which may also launch next week. These accessories are said to have a longer battery life, with the Magic Mouse supporting Force Touch.

Apple Inc neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, and until then, they should be taken with a grain of salt. However, if any of them does hold true, techies will know soon enough --- the new iMac is rumored to be released by October 13.
