The future is now, at least, according to Pepsi's new promotional ad for "Back to the Future II".

USA Today reported that fans of Marty McFly will be lining up for the limited edition Pepsi Perfect bottle, which will be released on October 21.

Lou Arbetter, senior director of marketing for PepsiCo announced in a statement via E! News, "Pepsi fans asked and we heard them loud and clear. The 'Back to the Future' trilogy was as big a moment in pop culture history then as it is now, 30 years later. We are excited to be part of this moment and to bring fans something only Pepsi could deliver - and there's no need to wait - the future is now!"

He also shared, "Fans have always been a little crazy about it., and so we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Marty traveled to the future, to this month, and wanted to actually come out with the product."

Unfortunately, it won't come with a new Pepsi Perfect flavor. As noted by USA Today, the only difference in this particular cola from the traditional Pepsi flavor is that it's made with Real Sugar insde the 16.9-ounce bottle.

The purpose of the sleeker Pepsi bottle is really just for fun, with Arbetter noting that Pepsi workers are generally fans of pop culture, and "Back to the Future" is as pop as it could get.

The bottle is a limited edition collectible that will be sold only while supplies last - and Pepsi is planning on making only 6,500 bottles of it. While it's pricey at its $20.15 tag, it's not as expensive as Christopher Lloyd's bottle that he gave to Marty in the film - that one cost a whopping $50.

The limited edition bottles will be sold online. However, for Comic Con fans, PepsiCo will release an initial 1,500 bottles at the New York Comic Con this month at the Javits Center, and for each day of the conference, the first 200 fans who arrive as Marty McFly will leave with their own bottle of Pepsi Perfect, as noted by The Hollywood Reporter.

PepsiCo is not the only company to jump on the futuristic band wagon. In January, Nike announced that they will be releasing self-lacing Nike Mag shoes, and Reston, Va, will be renaming itself "Hill Valley" to honor the film on October 21 to 25.

It's been 30 years since the release of the original "Back to the Future Film", so hop on your hoverboards, everyone: the future is now.
