Renee Zellweger is back for another Bridget Jones movie, this time, with a baby.

In a report from People Magazine, production for the new film started on Friday and with it came the first image of Zellweger as her iconic character, but hugging an iPad instead of her traditional Diary this time. This announcement came right on schedule, as Universal confirmed just last month the date of the start of production.

The 46-year-old actress looked more like her old self in the photo, as well, which should be good news for fans. About a year ago, The Mirror UK reported that Zellweger shocked Hollywood when she was photographed at the Elle Magazine 21 Annual Women in Hollywood event, looking almost unrecognizable. However, it appears that she's looking more like her old self for the role.

The biggest change in the story, as far as the single released photo can tell, is that Bridget has traded her usual worn, red diary for an iPad (with a red protector, of course). She also looks more mature and has apparently grown her hair out as well.

As for the rest of the cast, Colin Firth confirmed that he's also returning as Bridget's love interest, Mark Darcy. However, Hugh Grant dropped out of the project, as confirmed by Vanity Fair and McDreamy will complete the triangle that is Miss Jones's love life (if they will follow the love-rivalry theme from the first two films, that is) instead.

"Grey's Anatomy" actor Patrick Dempsey posted on Instagram a photo himself in England during rehearsals for the much-awaited rom-com sequel. "Nice to be working in England. Renee and Colin are an absolute joy to work with! A good couple of days rehearsing at Pinewood Studios. I really like it here!" he captioned the picture.

There is little that we know about the film, although it has been reported by Deadline that the story will still be based on Helen Fielding's books series, and will take place between "Bridget Jones: Edge or Reason" and the 2013 book, "Mad About The Boy". It is also said that the third installment will catch up with Bridget in her 40s as she juggles her career, pregnancy and as always, a burgeoning love life.

Sharon Maguire, who directed the first "Bridget Jones" film in 2001 will be back at the helm for "Baby". The screenplay is written by Helen Fielding and "One Day" author David Nicholls.

"Bridget Jones's Baby" will be released in theaters on September 16, 2016. Are you excited to see what happens to Bridge after all these years?
