On Tuesday, Microsoft is expected to unveil its new handsets -- Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft 950 XL - along with the all-new Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
GSM Arena reported that the upcoming Surface tablet is expected to offer better features than its predecessor.
The device indeed promises to be a high-end one as the same report noted that it may come packed with a resolution of 1440 x 2160 pixels with its 12-inch and 14-inch variant.
In a similar report, BGR said that the Surface Pro 4 will also have "an insanely cool display feature that will allow Microsoft to increase the tablet's screen size without increasing the overall size of the device."
It explained that that the tablet may come with "an almost bezel-less display" and a "smart frame" technology which can change the screen size depending on its use.
The tablet's screen will reportedly look like the 13-inch screen of Dell XPS.
"The device will have an almost non-existent bezel on top and sides, and it'll only be visible on the bottom. In laptop mode, the screen size will measure 13 inches diagonally, while in tablet mode, the screen will be reduced to 12 inches thanks to the smart frame feature," added BGR.
The same report dished that changing the display size will allow users to hold the device comfortably.
However, NeuroGadget said that the size and weight of the device will be very similar to the Surface Pro 3 latter is believed to be thinner.
The Surface Pro 4 is also expected to start selling at around $800 for the 12-inch version, a price almost similar to the Surface Pro 3. Buyers would need to pay an additional $100-150 for the 14-inch variant.
TechTimes added the tablet may come with a 1 TB version aside from the 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 500GB internal storage options that the Surface Pro 3 previously had.
Also, Alphr noted that the Surface Pro 3 was highly-acclaimed, tagging it as a perfect replacement for a laptop. Hence, fans are hoping that the Pro 4 will be the hybrid that can perfectly replace both laptops and tablets.
The upcoming tablet is also believed to come with a new stylus after Microsoft acquired N-Trig, an Israel company known for the Surface tablets' "pressure-sensitive stylus technology."
As for the camera of the Surface Pro 4, TechNewsToday suggested that new technologies could be incorporated in the camera.
"An iris scanner utilizing infrared functionality baked into the front camera, the process of unlocking just by looking at the Surface Pro 4 could be sped up drastically. If that actually happens or Microsoft makes a RealSense 3D camera a possibility on the Surface Pro 4 then it could help with Windows Hello and improve Skype video calling in the process maybe," noted the same report.
