Microsoft's upcoming new tablet, the Surface Pro 4, continues to rake the headlines as its release date lurks just around the corner.

According to Tech Radar, the Surface Pro line of tablets continue to prove its promise that it can do more than what other similar devices can with its impressive specifications.

In fact, the company has decided to further enhance its predecessor, the Surface Pro 3 which competed not only with other tablets but also with Apple's MacBook Air, with a new and improved version.

The outlet revealed that the Surface Pro creator would put Skylake processors under the hood of the next generation Surface Pro matched with Intel's integrated Iris and Iris Pro graphics as well as some memory improvements.

With this, the device is expected to have an increase in 3D gaming performance of up to 50 percent based on some leaked Intel slides cited in a past report from the outlet.

The new Surface Pro tablet is also expected to be 4K UHD video output-capable with a quality of up to 60 frames per second which would also be able to play for as many as three 4K displays.

Aside from that, the device is also pegged to come with the new Windows 10 out of the box, and, with the Skylake chips installed, allowing users to be able to utilize "Cortana" in 'waking up' the tablets.

Contrary to this, however, a Chinese website called 36KR claims that the device would be powered with Intel's Broadwell processor instead of the Skylake.

Aside from that, the design of the Surface Pro 4 would retain most of its predecessor's looks aside from the addition of small holes in the casing to allow radiation heat to dissipate since it is rumored to be fanless.

The design of the entire line of Surface Pro tablets have been lauded by many that it would be risky for the company to deviate from it, says Tech Radar.

As for its storage, the new Surface Pro 4 would be able to store images, music, videos, apps and other files with the size of up to 500GB.

Of course, the company would also provide users with lower storage options starting at 64GB as well as 128GB and 256GB.

Those excited for the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 should be happy to know that the device is expected to be released during the company's event set on October 6.

According to Tech radar, the company sent out invitations to the press promising "some exciting news about Windows 10 devices," referring to this event.
