Forbes 400 2015: Meet the Wealthiest People In America

It's the time again that Forbes magazine revealed the "Forbes 400" list of wealthiest men in America on Tuesday. It's the 34th year that the business spread ranked the U.S. billionaires, who have $2.34 trillion net worth combined.
According to Forbes itself, entering the prestigious catalogue this year required a whopping earning of $1.7 billion. It was nearly 10% higher to last year's $1.55 billion net worth.
In fact, today's needed gross is the highest it has been in 34 years. Unfortunately, because of the "high" demand, 145 U.S. billionaires didn't make in on the list.
Meanwhile, CBS News noted the top five wealthiest in America. Who else will top the list but none other than, Bill Gates. For 22 consecutive years, the computer programmer took the number one spot with $76 billion net worth. However, he is now focusing on doing humanitarian works with his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
His friend, Warren Buffet, on the other hand, landed on the second place with $62 billion. The Investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway made his biggest deal with Precision Castparts, a maker of aerospace and industrial parts, for $37 billion in August.
Larry Ellison got the third place for $47.5 billion. In spite of quitting his seat at the CEO of Oracle, which he also founded, he still very much active and involve with the database-software giant. It is the first time for the Amazon founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, to be included in the top 10 list with $47 billion.
The 51-year-old entrepreneur was this year's "biggest gainer" as he climbed up with $16.5 billion. Tied up on the fifth place are Brothers David Koch and Charles Koch with $41 billion each. The siblings played as the Executive Vice President and CEO of Koch Industries.
Meanwhile, Forbes added that Mark Zuckerberg also made it on the top 10 for the first time with $31.1 billion. Facebook reached the massive 1 billion users a day in August and this helped him to obtain his fortune up by $6.3 billion in the past year.
Also, CBS News noted that Donald Trump graced the cover of the Forbes Magazine instead of the top billionaires. Luisa Kroll, the magazine's assistant managing editor of wealth, said that because of his constant fame in the limelight, they "couldn't resist giving him the honorary spot."
One thing that the "Forbes 400" list confirmed is, the richer is getting richer with more than 200 participants gaining more and more each year.
